Frangelico 40 ml
Frangelico is a liqueur made with hazelnuts of the Tonda Gentile variety, much larger than the common and sweet-tasting, grown in the Langhe, south of Piedmont, Italy..
These hazelnuts are one of the best known products of the region, and are especially protected. Frangelico's recipe is more than 300 years old, and its origin is found in the mountains of Piedmont, where Christian monks possessed great knowledge of liqueur distillation.
Its name is an abbreviation of Fray Angelico, a hermit monk who according to legend lived in Piedmont in the eighteenth century.
Elaboration:
The hazelnuts are peeled, roasted and crushed. Next, an infusion is made with the hazelnut paste in a water and alcohol solution.
Subsequently, it is distilled and mixed with extracts of coconut seeds, vanilla pods and other flavorings.
The result is mixed with pure alcohol, sugar and water, then let it age in barrels for a period of between 6 and 8 weeks.

At sight it is very transparent, with pale golden tones.
The aromas of hazelnuts stand out in the nose.
On the palate it is very rich and pleasant, where the hazelnut flavor with notes of vanilla and dark chocolate predominates. Long and soft finish, very aromatic.
You can taste it just with ice, as well as in cocktails and cocktails, but it is especially recommended to take it with ice and a splash of lime.
